Contactless smart cards cater to many applications encompassed by contact smart cards, but allows faster and more convenient operation by eliminating the need for contact between the card and the reader. The demand and acceptance for this type of card is rapidly growing, with major deployments worldwide in applications such as micro-payment, physical and logical access control, government and corporate IDs, and automatic fare collection.
Aside from ACOS card which are preferred for secured applications, you can also order other contactless cards from ACS for use in your contactless system implementations – MIFARE (Classic, Ultralight, Ultralight C, DESFire).
