Questions to prepare
- Which card or tag will the application use, and what data or commands must it exchange?
- Will the reader connect to a desktop, mobile device, kiosk or embedded host?
- Which operating systems, programming languages and middleware are involved?
- What are the requirements for read distance, user interaction, security and installation?
- Which models or development kits have you already tested?
A practical starting point
Review the candidate products and their technical downloads. Record the requirements that are already satisfied and the questions that need confirmation. For an existing issue, include a reproducible test, relevant error messages and the reader and software versions.
Ask about the availability, format, deliverables and any fees for project-specific consultation before arranging a session.
