Overview
Utilizing 13.56 MHz contactless technology, the ACR1552U USB NFC Reader IV offers support for various card types, including ISO 14443 Type A and B, MIFARE®, and FeliCa cards, ISO 18092-compliant NFC tags and ISO 15693 cards. It supports three NFC modes: card reader/writer, card emulation, and keyboard emulation. The ACR1552U also features a Secure Access Module (SAM), which serves the purpose of key diversification and mutual authentication. This SAM feature ensures a high level of security in contactless transactions.
Comprehensive SDK—The ACR1552U Comprehensive USB NFC SDK is a collection of PC/SC-compliant sample codes, for device and contactless card programming. The SDK is designed to help software developers with the necessary tools and guidance to streamline their development process and create applications that effectively utilize the ACR1552U USB NFC Reader IV.
Card Emulation and Keyboard Emulation Capability—The Smart Card and Reader Tool in this SDK includes NFC and NDEF tools to demonstrate the NFC capability of the ACR1552U. The card emulation function enables the card reader to simulate the behavior of a contactless smart card, while the keyboard emulation function allows card readers to work with a wide range of software applications that accept keyboard input.
