What to include

• Reference product: the existing model or the closest device in the catalogue.
• Functional requirements: card technology, operating mode, host interface and software requirements.
• Mechanical requirements: drawings, dimensions, mounting points, cable routing and antenna constraints.
• Branding: logo artwork, labels, colours and packaging requirements.
• Project requirements: evaluation quantity, forecast volume, destination, target schedule and required compliance documents.

Agree the scope before production

Ask which changes are supported, which need engineering work, and which require a different product. A written proposal should identify the deliverables, costs, sample or prototype process, acceptance criteria and production schedule.

Use an evaluation sample to check the agreed functions in your host system. Any production order should refer to the approved configuration and the agreed commercial terms.
